glock slide not going into battery with trigger depressed

since it started when you changed the connector, it sounds like its an assembly issue. The problem is, that when I keep the trigger depressed, the gun sometimes hesitates when returning to battery about 1/4" from seating. I've shot pistols for a while and also have a g17. My participation level isnt at the point where a dedicated backup gun makes sense so i dont have another gen 5 to compare, this might be the thing that gets me to try a sig though. It has failed to return fully to battery once but every other time, it's a brief hesitation then it snaps into battery. Does anyone have any suggestions? Sorry about that. There's too much risk of changing the angle, removing too much material, and or rounding the edges(which will result in decreasing surface area). It runs fine when shooting but it you ease the slide forward it stops and does not go into battery unless the trigger is moved forward. Thanks.
